This is the region's best-known historic hotel, a handsome Victorian-era hulk set amid formal gardens. The rocking chairs on the front porch are a pleasant place to relax, as is the library with its open fire. Rooms are comfortable but faded; food in the restaurant could be a lot better. Rates include breakfast. A compulsory resort fee ($16 per room per night) is levied on top of the room rate.
Facilities include an indoor saltwater pool, Jacuzzi, gym, tennis courts and mini-golf.
