Champlain Orchards

Vermont

This century-old orchard 16 miles southwest of Middlebury sells sweet and hard cider year-round, with pick-your-own cherries, peaches, plums and berries starting in June. Its busiest season is fall, when more than 100 varieties of apples are ripe for the picking and the annual Harvest Festival fills the air with fiddle tunes and family fun.
