Magnolia Market at the Silos

Top choice

Fans of the Home & Garden Television (HGTV) show Fixer Upper flock to this sprawling retail compound. Chip and Joanna Gaines have created this empire (real estate, retail et al) based on their show where the plot has them helping home-buyers find a cheap house and then remodel it into a stylish showplace. Their trademark (and much copied) faux distressed, whitewashed look is on full display here.

The compound, set at some artfully rusty old silos, also features a demonstration garden (behold the lavender!) which has a number of food trucks from local restaurants. There is also an on-site cupcake-peddling bakery.
