In the piñon-juniper 25 miles from the tourist hub of Grand Canyon Village and close to the rim, this first-come, first-served 50-site NPS campground is relatively quiet, with a spread-out design that ensures a bit of privacy. The best time to secure a spot is mid-morning, when people are breaking camp, and it usually fills by noon.
