The only such organization of its kind in the US is a wonderful place to discover how creative artists and craftspeople can be with textiles and fabrics. Founded in 1977, it has hosted an artist-in-residence program that has attracted figures of the caliber of Louise Bourgeois, Dale Chihuly and Roy Lichtenstein. Many of the astonishing works can be viewed in the museum as well as bought in the shop.
