Deep Creek Lake State Park

The lake is most easily accessed via Deep Creek Lake State Park, which sits on a large plateau known as the Tablelands. The area is carpeted in oak and hickory forest, and black bear sightings, while uncommon, are not unheard of. Families can relax and swim at the beach, explore exhibits at the Discovery Center or hike several short trails.

Maryland residents get discounted entry to the park.
