This wilderness cabin and backcountry campground are located a 9.3-mile hike into Haleakal膩 Crater, at an elevation of 6380ft. Those craving lush rainforest will find Paliku serene. The cabin sleeps up to 12 people, has pit toilets and nonpotable water, plus a log burner and three fire logs per booking.

Permits must be picked up at Headquarters Visitor Center on the day.
