Makapu‘u Point Lighthouse

°¿Ê»²¹³ó³Ü

°¿Ê»²¹³ó³Ü's easternmost point was the landfall for all ships from the American west coast to Honolulu. The lighthouse dates to 1909, when it was finally built after two decades of petitioning and planning. The 46ft white cylindrical tower sports a red lantern roof and is still an active aid to navigation.
