A touch of New Orleans in Miami, Lagniappe has an old-fashioned front-room bar, packed with art, faded vintage furnishings and weathered walls. The vibe is just right: with great live music (nightly from 9pm to midnight) and an easygoing crowd, plus there's a sprawling back garden with palm trees and fairy lights.
The food and drink set-up adds to the good cheer: help yourself to the wine bottles or craft beer in the fridge; pay at the counter, then pick out cheeses, or sharing plates (skewers of steak, mahi, chicken or veggies – barbecued to perfection). A night here most assuredly brings a good time.
