Southern Charm

Yes, this is Southern Charm: the place that looks like an automotive garage on a torn-up stretch of sidewalk. The restaurant, run by beloved Jacksonville chef and all-round character Art Jennette, serves enormous, cardiac-straining portions of Southern and soul food: pork chops, fried fish, collard greens and fried green tomatoes. Atmosphere of the moon, but food of the gods, people.

Note that hours may be dependent on how busy the place is – and when food runs out, it's out.
