Ayastafanos Church

EÄŸirdir's last remaining Orthodox church is on YeÅŸilada, near Ä°skele Park. Thirteen other churches were torn down after the Greek community departed in the 1923 population exchange. The 12th-century Byzantine stone building originally had a roof made of a ship's hull. Unfortunately it is usually locked.
