Wat Suwan Khiri Wong

Hat Patong

This slightly overgrown yet peaceful compound, just off Th Phra Barami at the northeastern end of Patong, is a welcome respite from the chaos outside. Unlike some of Phuket's more tourist-friendly temples, it's home to rambling roosters, dozing dogs and (usually) locked temple doors. The elaborately tiered roof of the crematorium is beautiful.
