Monasterio de Irantzu

Situated 11km north of Estella, near Abárzuza, is the Monasterio de Irantzu. This grand Cistercian abbey was built between the 12th and 14th centuries, and has a beautiful setting amid the lush Yerri valley. The Gothic cloister, with its austere beauty and gurgling fountain, is a fine place to engage in a bit of quiet reflection.
