Museo de la Coria

Extremadura

Adjacent to the Puerta de la Coria, one of seven arched entrances to the old town, this 15th-century monastery houses a moderately interesting museum devoted to promoting the artistic and cultural heritage of Trujillo and the Americas. Even if you don't visit the museum, it's worth stopping by to see the tranquil garden (the gate is usually open) at the entrance with traces of the building's former glories.
