Pazo de Xelmírez

Santiago de Compostela

The Pazo de Xelmírez is the 12th-century bishop's palace adjoining the cathedral's north side. It's included in guided visits to the Pórtico de la Gloria, which start here. It hosts what are often very interesting temporary exhibitions related to the cathedral. The banquet hall is adorned with exquisite little wall busts depicting musicians, bakers, feasters, kings and jugglers.
