Samchung-sa

Chungcheongnam-do

This modest shrine inside Busosan-seong commemorates three Baekje officials. Seong Chun, a royal adviser, died in prison after angering the king. Heung Su, another adviser, was exiled after suggesting the king adopt a defensive military stance. The king ordered General Gyebaek, the third official, to attack which resulted in a military defeat and triggered the end of the Baekje dynasty.
