Parque El Carmén

Managua

A couple of blocks from Barrio Bolonia’s concrete jungle, this surprisingly pretty park is a little slice of suburbia, with kids' riding bikes, a playground, and a kiosk selling snacks and cold drinks. The park is surrounded by some fairly opulent homes, including that of President Ortega – if your taxi driver doesn’t know it, tell him ‘donde vive Daniel’ (where Daniel lives).
