Cheng Ho Cultural Museum

Melaka City

The impressive exploits of Chinese-Muslim seafarer Cheng Ho (Zheng He) are celebrated through this museum's dioramas and maritime miscellany. The Ming admiral's tremendous voyages make for interesting reading, though the level of detail in this multi-floor museum wearies after a while. Still, it's a good excuse to wander through a Chinese mansion, complete with swaying lanterns and furnishings embossed with mother-of-pearl.
