Founded in 1884, this exclusive members-only social club is where the running-and-drinking club, the Hash House Harriers, kicked off in 1938. The present Mock Tudor building is a reconstruction from the late 1970s following a major fire in 1970.

Women are still barred from its Long Bar, which has a view of the former playing fields.
