Wat Chomphet

Southern Laos

This temple just past the stone carvers in Ban Don Khoh is well worth a visit, not only for its 30m-tall gold-painted Buddha but also some of the buildings on the grounds and its location on a breezy, rocky hilltop. Tourists are rare, so you will be free to wander the grounds.
