Named after a glamorous nightclub that once stood on the beach, the Blue Moon serves the spiaggia comunale (public beach) at the northern end of the Lido. Designed by Giancarlo de Carlo in 1999, this bizarre salmon-coloured sci-fi structure includes a bistro, cafe, gelateria, raised dance floor and 30m-high aluminium flag tower and extended viewing platform.
