A little corner of Eden, this eco-minded hostel sits in glorious isolation on the unspoiled Isola Polvese. It's housed in a converted farmstead set amid olive groves and lush greenery and offers basic, spick-and-span rooms, sloping gardens and gorgeous lake views. Super-hospitable owners Michele and Paola also serve up wholesome meals prepared with organic produce and homegrown herbs.
If you want to go fishing or tour the lake in a canoe, just say the word.
The hostel is about 10 to 15 minutes' walk up from ferry dock.
