Cattedrale dei Santi Pietro e Paolo

Southern Tuscany

Construction of Pitigliano's duomo commenced in the late 13th century; the campanile was added a century later and the facade and interior were given baroque makeovers in the early 18th century. Inside, Francesco Vanni's painting of the Madonna del rosario (1609), which shows the Madonna with Saints Catherine of Siena, Dominic and Pio V, is on the immediate left as you enter.
