Casa Rubini

Paestum

So authentically ‘olde’ is this rustic inn within sight of the Paestum ruins, you can almost imagine that Da Vinci was a recent guest. Attic-like rooms come with sloping ceilings, exposed stone walls, fat wooden beams and Dante quotes emblazoned on the paintwork, plus there’s a wonderful adjoining bar/restaurant where local troubadours (singing guitar players) often drop by.

All in all, it’s a fabulous compliment to the mystical ruins next door. Free parking too.
