This magnificent Greek Revival building, built as a Presbyterian church in 1841, is thought to have been modelled on the ancient temple of Nemesis on the island of Rhamnous. After falling into disrepair, it underwent a £1.5-million restoration, completed in 2015. It continues to operate as a church, and also hosts classical concerts (check the website for upcoming events). Hour-long tours explain the fascinating history and architecture of the building.
