Public Observatory

Panaji

If you’re interested in gazing at the clear winter night skies over Goa, the local branch of the Association of Friends of Astronomy has a public observatory with giant telescopes on the terrace of the Junta building. The local volunteer enthusiasts are only too happy to welcome visitors and explain what you’re looking at. The view over Panaji by night is lovely too.
