El Paredón's undisputed party hostel, the Driftwood was quick to arrive in the town and set the pace with its beachfront location and swim-up pool bar. The dorms are a bit cramped, but the air-conditioning is welcome and most guests prefer to be out with the surf breaks, on the sun deck or playing drinking games in the bar.
The restaurant's food is excellent; the fish and chips (Q60) is a fine tribute to the owner's English roots.
