Nikos Xylouris' Home

Rethymno Province

Crete's most famous musician, the lyra player and singer Nikos Xyouris, was born in this modest house on the lower village square, and today his family maintains an endearing collection of posters, letters and other memorabilia related to him.

There are also gig posters of his nephew Giorgos Xylouris, an accomplished current-day musician who tours the globe with his outfit Xylouris White.
