Perched precariously close to the edge of the white cliffs, this early 18th-century decommissioned lighthouse somehow manages to contain six rooms, all imaginatively done out and all rather restricted space-wise. But the highlight must be the lantern lounge, a circular guest seating area in the glass top of the building, the perfect place to enjoy a truly memorable Sussex sunset.
The building has had an incredible past, almost destroyed in WWII, used by the BBC to film The Life and Loves of a She-Devil and famously moved back from the cliff edge in 1999 before becoming a quirky guesthouse.
