The snug, white-walled, candlelit restaurant downstairs offers a decent choice of vegetarian pasta dishes including gnocchi with blue cheese and spinach and ricotta ravioli as well as meatier options. You can’t go wrong with most of the cheesier, creamier items, and the chill-out soundtrack is a nice respite from Cairo street noise. Booking ahead is usually required.
Upstairs is a popular bar; at 10pm the DJ turns up the music, and a younger crowd arrives.
