Two Mantle Tamarins on a tree branch

Parque Nacional Natural Amacayacu

Amazon Basin

Sprawling across almost 3000 sq km, PNN Amacayacu is an ideal spot from which to observe the Amazonian rainforest up close, with extraordinary biodiversity and lots of wildlife. Catastrophic flooding in 2012 heavily damaged the park infrastructure and the park facilities remain closed, though it is still possible to enter the park and arrange tours with local indigenous people. Contact a tour operator in Leticia to arrange a visit.
