Smack in the shadow of Cang Shan and now spread over a complex of buildings, the Jade Emu is massive and has everything a traveller could need. The dorms are more comfortable than most and the private rooms are spacious, clean and bright, while the new boutique annexe is perfect for flashpackers. Staff are efficient and friendly.
There's a big, outdoor communal area with bar and pool table, and a separate movie room. They also arrange tours and bus tickets. Next door is their own cafe-cum-bookshop and restaurant La Dolce Vita.
