Former Residence of Liu Changsheng

Shanghai

Inside a red-brick villa, this museum details the rise of the Chinese Communist Party (CPC). It's the former residence of underground CPC leader Liu Changsheng and, while predictably propaganda-filled, it's worth a short poke around to see life-sized models of the party leaders and historical photographs and a local interpretation of events leading to the 'liberation' of Shanghai.

Displays are in both English and Chinese.
