Confederation Bridge

Prince Edward Island

A marvel of Canadian engineering, the Confederation Bridge spans 12.9km linking Prince Edward Island and New Brunswick. Opened in 1997, it's the longest in the world that crosses ice-covered water. Fares include the round-trip to and from the island and are payable on exit.

Foot passengers and cyclists have to use a shuttle service to cross the bridge (bicycle/pedestrian $9/4.50).
