This historic site details the 1760 naval battle in the nearby Restigouche River estuary, which finished off France's New World ambitions. The interpretive center with a simulated ship explains the battle's significance to the British and displays salvaged articles, and even parts of a sunken French frigate. It's located a few kilometers west of Pointe à La Croix and 18km east of Matapédia.
