This historic bank building (1905) now serves as a post office, visitor center and small museum offering a concise history of Steveston’s Japanese pioneers who comprised three quarters of the town’s population in the early 20th century before being decimated by WWII internment.

Packing a lot into a small space, the museum also sheds light on the town's erstwhile canneries, boat-building sheds and Japanese cultural traditions.
