Centro Cultural Laurinda Santos Lobo

Built in 1907, this large mansion once served as a salon for artists from Brazil and abroad and as the location of parties hosted by socialite Laurinda Santos Lobo. Guests included Brazilian composer Heitor Villa-Lobos and American dancer Isadora Duncan. Today, as a cultural center, the building still plays an active role in the neighborhood by hosting exhibitions and open-air concerts throughout the year.
