Ronvijoypur Mosque

Bangladesh

Located on the street that leads directly north from the turn-off to Thakur Dighi, this splendidly chunky 15th-century mosque is singularly impressive. It contains the largest mosque dome in Bangladesh, spanning 11m and supported by 3m-thick brick walls. The mosque’s interior is plain, but the main mihrabs (niches) are decorated in some graceful floral patterns.
