About Simon
I've spent over half my adult life writing for Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¼´Ê±¿ª½± and other guidebook publishers, as well as magazines and newspapers around the world. Among my many adventures for Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¼´Ê±¿ª½± have been going overland from Istanbul to Kathmandu, travelling back and forth along the Trans-Siberian Railway, kayaking alongside dolphins off Cape Town and hot air ballooning over the temples of Bagan. I'm an expert on Japan having lived in the country for many years and travelled through nearly all its prefectures. I'm now based in Folkestone, UK (living practically next door to the entrance to the Channel Tunnel) where I'm also the editor of the local magazine the Folkestone Foghorn.
