About Sara
Born-and-raised in Sicily, Sara Mostaccio lives on the slopes of her beloved volcano Etna whose old lava flows she frequently climbs. She works as a freelance journalist, translator and podcaster, hosting a podcast about Athens’ hidden spots. Italy is her destination expertise and her home-base between trips around Europe, with long and frequent stays in Greece, her second home. She loves travelling Eastern Europe and especially the Balkans which still retain the pristine beauty of a remote place yet close at hand.
