About Katya
Captivated by the stories my father would tell me as a child of his time growing up in Africa, I became utterly transfixed by travel. With a degree in Latin American and Caribbean studies, I have great knowledge and passion for the region and have traveled around it extensively. I have also spent the past five years studying, working and living in Cuba as a writer and journalist. Travel for me is all about the pursuit of immersion in a place and its people, diving head-first into a destination at its most raw and intimate.
