I'm an LA-based travel writer with a rare talent for buying difficult-to-carry souvenirs (3-foot Israeli loofahs, 12-foot Moroccan rugs, prickly desert cacti... I've schlepped them all!). For five years I served as the US Editor for travel company Mr & Mrs Smith, and before that, I worked as a research editor at Vogue, HGTV Magazine and New York magazine. In addition to the souvenirs, I travel for unforgettable meals, good hikes and the occasional surf session.
