Although I call Tokyo my hometown, my upbringing took me across seven different countries, spanning from the US to the Caribbean and South America. This international upbringing background has instilled in me a sense of curiosity, a strong desire to connect with others, and a touch of restlessness. One of my favorite things about traveling is how you can experience everything for the first time, almost like you’re a child again, and get to imagine a different version of yourself that calls this foreign ground your home. I’ll try anything once, whether it’s food or a high-adrenaline activity, and then inevitably make it my entire personality—until I find my next fixation.
