Central Greenough Historic Settlement

West Coast Australia

Historic, windswept Greenough was an active administrative centre in its 1860s heyday. Nearly a dozen of its traditional stone buildings, including two fine churches and a police station and gaol, have been preserved under the auspices of the National Trust.

The visitors' centre here has an appealing cafe serving Devonshire tea, light meals and homemade desserts; it also sells quality local arts and crafts.
