The tuart is a type of eucalypt that only grows on coastal limestone in southwest WA. This 20-sq-km strip squeezed between the Bussell Hwy and the Indian Ocean just outside Busselton is the last tuart forest left after decades of logging. There is a self-guided 1.5km walk in the forest designed for night-time possum spotting. Bring your own torch.
